A delegation led by Mr. Dashdavaa, Director-General of the Independent Authority Against Corruption Anti-Corruption Agency, participated in the 9th session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (CoSP) organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt on December 11-17, 2021.

The IAAC is a member of the Anti-Corruption Network of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) under the project " Fostering sustainable development by supporting the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption in countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt".  General assembly of the project was held on December 11 and 12, 2021 in Sharm el-Sheikh, in which representatives of the IAAC exchanged experience in addressing corruption issues, legal environment, and solutions to issues regarding major foreign-invested infrastructure projects.

As approved by the previous session, the session discussed the implementation of the Convention, recovery of funds, international cooperation, prevention of corruption, and technical cooperation. The biennial session is an important event for high-level representatives of the parties to the UN Convention against Corruption to discuss the implementation of the Convention, its results, issues to be addressed, and multilateral anti-corruption cooperation.
