Cooperation in prevention of corruption and conflict of interest in the health sector

Representatives of the IAAC held a meeting with T.Munkhsaikhan, Minister of Health, and Ya.Amarjargal, State Secretary of Ministry of Health on September 3, 2020.

During the meeting, D.Dulamsuren, Head of the Prevention and Public Awareness department of IAAC introduced the result of the Integrity Assessment and the current situation of corruption in the health sector. The parties exchanged opinions on disbursement of donations, foreign loans, and aids from individuals and organizations during the epidemic of COVID-19, risk of corruption and conflict of interest related to direct procurement, and the bureaucracy, and delays in medical services.    

T.Munkhsaikhan, Minister of Health noted that there is a need to eliminate bureaucracy and improve the working conditions of public service employees, and expressed his readiness to work cooperatively to prevent corruption. It was decided to intensify efforts to provide regular information on health services to the public and to involve health sector staffs in anti-corruption training courses in the future.
