Representatives of the Prevention and Public Awareness Department of IAAC led by the Head of the Department Ms. D.Dulamsuren, Senior Officer Mr. N.Damdinsuren, and Officer Mr. B.Terbish held a meeting with Minister of Road and Transportation Development Mr. L.Khaltar, Vice Minister Mr. J.Bat-Erdene, and State Secretary Mr. S.Batbold and other department directors of the Ministry.
Main topics of the meeting was the current situation of corruption in the road and transport sector and priorities for corruption prevention activities. They discussed issues of public concern particularly, the procurement, activities related to issuance and change of license plate of motor vehicles, the license (license to operate the company to print a license plate, and permission to conduct a technical inspection, etc), the “C” permit for regular international freight transportation, the implementation, legal regulation, difficulty of driver’s liability insurance in cooperation with the National Center for Road Transport Center, and the license of large and medium sized buses for international and local passenger transportation. It was decided to intensify efforts to prevent corruption and conflict of interest, to launch an anti-corruption bulletin board for the public, to involve people in anti-corruption training, and reduce the risk of corruption and conflict of interests in the sector.
