PURPOSE: The purpose of the competition is to raise awareness of the dangers of corruption and conflicts of interest in society, to instill in children and youth a sense of justice, to express the intolerance of corruption to the public in a rational and interesting way through artwork, and to involve citizens, artist in Anti-Corruption activities.
From November 2 to 6, 2020, the Inspection and Analysis department of the IAAC has received and investigated 48 complaints, information submitted by citizens and legal entities regarding corruption, and conflict of interest of public officials.
Last week, 14 complaints and information were inspected and resolved. There are 34 conflict of interest complaints currently under inspection.
Two criminal complaints were transferred to the Investigation Department. Also, 6 complaints were referred to the relevant government organizations.
From November 2 to 6, 2020, IAAC has examined the preliminary private interest declaration of 137 nominees for public office.
Last week, 172 preliminary declarations were received and a total of 441 preliminary declarations were examined. There are 304 preliminary declarations currently under examination.
A nominee to be appointed as a state inspector of a branch of the State Inspection Agency, does not meet the special requirements set forth in the job description and his/her related person carries out similar activities. IAAC has submitted an official letter stating the nominee have “conflict of interest” in accordance with Article 3.1.3 of the Public and Private interests and Prevention of Conflict of interests in public service law.
From November 2 to 6, 2020, IAAC has inspected private interest, income and assets declaration of 60 officials and resolved 19 official’s declaration in accordance with planned inspection.
Of these, one official’s declaration was found to be in violation of law. An official whose name is “N” will be held responsible in accordance with Article 13.8.3 of the Anti-Corruption Law.
There are 41 official’s personal interest, assets and income declarations currently under examination.
In connection with the establishment of strict quarantine across the country and the transition to a state of public readiness by the Government of Mongolia and State Special Commission, IAAC will receive complaints, information from citizens and legal entities through “contact@iaac.mn” e-mail address, “110” phone number and by mail.
From November 9 to 12, 2020, the Inspection and Analysis department of the IAAC has received and investigated 47 complaints, information submitted by citizens and legal entities regarding corruption, and conflict of interest of public officials.
Last week, 12 complaints and information were inspected and resolved. There are 35 conflict of interest complaints currently under inspection.
Three criminal complaints were transferred to the Investigation Department. Also, 5 complaints were referred to the relevant government organizations.
