The Investigation Department of IAAC, during the period starting from April 20 to April 24 of 2020, received 10 and investigated 80 complaints of criminal nature respectively. Out of which, the criminal cases have been opened on 12 complaints and further 7 complaints were deemed as insufficient to open criminal cases and submitted to the prosecution office with due proposal. Currently, 61 complaints are under investigation.
On 21-30 April 2020, specialists Naijil Mark Bartlet and Johnaton Pao Benton from the partnership of the United Nations organization on drugs and crime and the World Bank Stolen asset recovery initiative organized a training for those investigators who completed the basic training on financial investigation.
An onsite inspection was conducted in August 2019 under a civil complaint related to the Head of the 10th center of the Housing and community managing agency who collected donations in connection with 55th anniversary of establishment of the agency and did not report the expenditure and is suspected of embezzling.
The Independent Authority Against Corruption submitted recommendations on prevention of re-occurring of corruption crimes to the Second police department of Chingeltei district.

The Research and analysis division of the Independent Authority Against Corruption is organizing an online survey on the study on anti-corruption actions from all officials who declarer their declaration of conflict of interest and income and assets for the purpose of collecting the necessary information for strengthening the corruption combating system in Mongolia.
The Inspection and analysis department of the Independent Authority Against Corruption constantly supervises accountability and ethics of public officials within its mandated duties under the Anti-corruption law.
The Investigation Department of the Independent Authority Against Corruption received 21 complaints, information 4-8 May, 2020 and investigated a total of 68 complaints and information. And of these, 10 inquiry cases were opened in connection with the complaints and information, 13 motions to close complaints and information and 1 motion to transfer complaint and information to relevant jurisdiction submitted to the Prosecutor’s office. Currently, 42 complaints and information are in action.
Last week, investigation was conducted in 491 criminal cases and of those, 7 transferred for prosecution, 13 cases closed, 3 motions submitted to the Prosecutor’s office to transfer to relevant jurisdiction. Currently, 491 cases are in action.
One year has passed since the appointment of Dashdavaa Zandaa as the General director and Batsaikhan Janjaa as the Deputy director of the Independent Authority Against Corruption during the General meeting of the State Great Khural held on 2 May, 2019. A report on policy reforms implemented in the Independent Authority Against Corruption has been published for presentation.

The Authority drafted and published handbook, brochures and detailed video instructions on how and what to consider when submitting the declaration of income and assets online on its website www.iaac.mn at the same time giving methodical information.
