The Inspection and Analysis Department of IAAC, during the period starting from 15 to 19 March of 2021, has inspected 63 complaints related to corruption and conflict of interests.
In the last week, 17 of them resolved and 46 of them are under scrutiny.
154 declarations were received and 284 declarations were verified in the last week. Currently, 227 declarations are under inspection by IAAC.
In order to follow recommendations issued by the National Emergency Commission in charge of dealing with the pandemic, IAAC sends the approvals of the preliminary declarations through official e-mail addresses of the nominating institution.
At the invitation of the University of Finance under the Government of the Russian Federation, officials of the Independent Authority against Corruption of Mongolia participated in an international roundtable discussion on "Effective anti-corruption policy as a key factor of transparency of economic activity" organized by the university on March 24.
The Prevention and Public Awareness Department of Independent Authority against Corruption organized an anti-corruption training for members of the province, the capital city, soum, and district Citizens' Representatives' Meetings on March 22-26, 2021. The training purpose is to implement the National Anti-Corruption Program and to prevent corruption by educating public officials and empowering capacity building.
The Investigation Department of IAAC, during the period starting from March 22-26, received 22 complaints and investigated 92 complaints of criminal nature. Out of which, the criminal cases have been opened on 8 complaints and further 16 complaints were deemed as insufficient to open criminal cases and submitted to the prosecution office with due proposal. Furthermore, 1 complaint was transferred to another agency in accordance with its inveatigation jurisdiction. Currently, 67 complaints of criminal nature have been investigated by the Department. As of this writing, a total 501 criminal cases are under investigation by the Department.
Between 22-26 March of 2021, IAAC verified the preliminary private interest declarations of 172 candidates for public positions. 120 declarations were received and 347 declarations were verified last week.
Currently, 175 declarations are under inspection by IAAC. In order to follow recommendations issued by the National Emergency Commission, IAAC sends the approvals of the preliminary declarations through official email addresses of the nominating institution.

From May 25 to 29, 2020, the IAAC received 21 criminal complaints and information and investigated a total of 96 complaints. 11 complaints were referred to prosecutors for further investigation, and 19 complaints were referred to prosecutors with a proposal to refuse to open an inquiry case. Currently, 66 complaints are being investigated.
Of the 501 criminal cases investigated last week, 12 cases have been referred to court, 16 cases have been closed, and 3 cases have been referred to prosecutors. Currently, 469 cases are under investigation.
IAAC reviewed the preliminary declarations of interests of 194 candidates applied for public office on May 25-29, 2020.
Last week, 181 new declarations were received and a total of 352 preliminary declarations were reviewed. Out of 194 declarations reviewed and resolved, 187 were not in violation, 2 were returned on legal grounds, 10 candidates were warned for non-compliance with the law, Preliminary declarations of 158 candidates are currently being reviewed.
From November 9 to 12, 2020, IAAC has examined the preliminary private interest declaration of 130 nominees for public office.
Last week, 131 preliminary declarations were received and a total of 435 preliminary declarations were examined. There are 305 preliminary declarations currently under examination.
