PRELIMINARY DECLARATIONS OF 216 PERSONS REVIEWED

The IAAC has reviewed the preliminary declarations of interests of 216 candidates for public office on June 2-4, 2020.

Last week, 156 new applications were received and a total of 314 preliminary applications were reviewed. Out of 216 declartions reviewed, 198 were found to have no conflict of interest, 8 were rejected on legal grounds, and 10 candidates were warned of non-compliance with job descriptions and legal requirements.

Preliminary declarations of 98 candidates are currently being reviewed.

46 COMPLAINTS RELATED TO CONFLICT OF INTEREST REVIEWED

The Inpesction and Analysis Department investigated 46 complaints and information related to corruption and conflict of interest of public officials submitted by citizens, business entities and organizations on June 2-4, 2020.

Last week, 13 complaints and information were reviewed, of which 3 were found to be in conflict and 3 were in no conflict of interest. In addition, 6 complaints were transferred and 1 inquiry was answered. There are currently 33 complaints under investigation.

VOLUMES I AND II OF THE 2014 COURT DECISIONS OF CORRUPTION CRIMES PUBLISHED

In addition to detecting and suppressing corruption and official misconduct, anti-corruption activities play an important role in eliminating the causes and conditions of corruption, preventing risks, and raising public awareness against the social dangers of corruption.

The IAAC has been conducting inquiries and investigations of 10 types of crimes since September 7, 2007, according to the Criminal Procedure Code. In 2017, the new version of the Criminal Procedure Code provides 11 types of corruption offences under the jurisdiction of IAAC.

24 COMPLAINTS RELATED TO CONFLICT OF INTEREST REVIEWED /2020.06.16/

The Inspection and Analysis Department investigated 64 complaints and information related to corruption and conflict of interest of public officials submitted by citizens, business entities and organizations on June 8-12, 2020.

Last week, 24 complaints and information were reviewed and resolved, of which 3 were found to be in conflict and 13 were in no conflict of interest. In addition, 5 complaints were transferred and 3 complaints were returned. There are currently 40 complaints under investigation.

ASSETS AND INCOME DECLARATIONS of 47 CANDIDATES REVIEWED

IAAC reviewed the declarations of personal interests, assets and income of 12 officials on June 8-12, 2020.

Seven new declarations were received last week, and a total of 47 declarations were reviewed. Out of 12 applications reviewed, 2 were in violation, 2 were not in violation, and 8 were not considered as violations but were warned.

Currently, the declarations of personal interests, assets and income of 37 officials are being monitored.
