Participating in the 29th Annual Conference of the International Association of Prosecutors in Baku, Azerbaijan

At the invitation of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a delegation from the Office of the Prosecutor General of Mongolia and the Independent Authority Against Corruption is participating in the 29th Annual Conference of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), which commenced on 29 September 2024 in Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The conference has convened more than 500 representatives, including prosecutors and officials from anti-corruption and law enforcement agencies from 93 countries. Participants are exchanging knowledge and experience on key issues such as strengthening the rule of law, ensuring compliance with legislation, and enhancing the effectiveness, fairness, and independence of criminal justice systems. Discussions also focus on the multifaceted role and impact of prosecutors; combating corruption through international cooperation; recovery of assets derived from corruption; and addressing challenges and solutions related to the detection, investigation, and prosecution of transnational financial crimes, including money laundering, human trafficking, and drug trafficking.
On the sidelines of the conference, Mr. Dashdavaa Zandraa, General Commissioner and Director of the Independent Authority Against Corruption of Mongolia, held bilateral meetings with Dr. Kamran Aliyev, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Mr. Nazim Rajabov, Deputy Prosecutor General and Head of the Anti-Corruption Directorate, during which key areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
