DELEGATION FROM NATIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION OF THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND VISITS MONGOLIA

At the invitation of Z. Dashdavaa, Commissioner General of the Independent Authority Against Corruption (IAAC) of Mongolia, a delegation led by Mr. Phattarasak Vannasaeng, Deputy Commissioner of Thailand’s National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), paid a working visit to Mongolia from June 9–13, 2025.
The delegation included Mr. Sarote Phuengrampan, Secretary-General of the NACC; Ms. Wanwara Silpawilawan, Director of the Bureau of International Affairs and Corruption Investigation; Ms. Walaikorn Hungsavanus, Acting Director of the International Cooperation Division; Ms. Rata Rudravanija, International Affairs Officer; Mr. Sakhon Roopita, Inquiry Officer; and Mr. Thienthong Wachirawichai, International Affairs Officer.
During the visit, Mr. G. Azjargal, Deputy Commissioner General of the IAAC, received the delegation. At the outset of the meeting, he expressed appreciation for the visit and highlighted that Thailand’s NACC is a globally respected institution. He noted that cooperation between the two organizations began in 2011 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). He further emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations through extending the MoU, enhancing staff training, and expanding the exchange of experience.
Mr. Phattarasak Vannasaeng expressed his pleasure at visiting Mongolia for the first time and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening cooperation in anti-corruption efforts between the two sides.
The meeting was attended by senior IAAC officials, including Mr. Z. Baasannyam, Head of the Administration Department; Mr. Kh. Buyantumen, Head of the Investigation Department; and Mr. M. Davaatogtokh, Head of the National Ani-Corruption Strategy Implementation Department. Following the meeting, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the prevention and combating of corruption between the IAAC of Mongolia and the NACC of Thailand.
Mr. Phattarasak Vannasaeng also signed the IAAC’s guestbook and left a commemorative message.
The National Anti-Corruption Commission of Thailand is responsible for promoting ethics and integrity, preventing corruption, overseeing asset declarations, and suppressing corrupt practices. According to the Constitution, the Commission consists of a President appointed by the King with the consent of the Senate, along with eight other members (Deputy Commissioners).
During the visit, the Thai delegation was briefed on the structure, functions, and mandate of Mongolia’s IAAC and introduced to the activities of its departments.
The visit served as an important opportunity to deepen cooperation between the anti-corruption agencies of Mongolia and Thailand. Both sides exchanged views on expanding collaboration, including organizing joint training programs, enhancing professional capacity, and strengthening information exchange, reaching mutual understanding on several key areas.
